Casey’s General Stores, Inc., one of the nation’s leading convenience store chains, is proud to announce the groundbreaking of its newest location in Hartford, Michigan. The ceremony will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 61827 County Road 687.  Hartford’s local leaders are welcoming the business partners and community members to join in the celebration.

The groundbreaking will officially kick off the construction of a new convenience store designed to meet the unique needs of Hartford residents and travelers passing through the area. Once completed, this new Casey's location will bring the company's well-known food, fuel, and friendly service to the heart of Van Buren County. In addition to providing convenience, Casey's aims to create new job opportunities for residents in the Hartford area.

City officials have expressed their support for the development, acknowledging the positive benefits a Casey's general store could bring to the community. "Hartford continues to grow and thrive," said Nicol Pulluiam, the City Manager of Hartford. "The new construction of Casey's will not only create jobs and additional taxes but also provide our residents and visitors with a reliable place to stop for quality food and fuel."

Mayor Rick Hall stated, “I would like to welcome Casey’s General Stores to the community of Hartford, Michigan. Their $1.850 million investment in the city of Hartford will benefit us all with local job opportunities and bring people to the Hartford area.” He continued, “I would like to thank the team at Casey’s and all the people involved in making this day become a reality.”
