Voting

One of the fundamental rights of our democracy is the right to vote. Any U.S. citizen who is at least age 18 on Election Day is eligible. But before you can cast a ballot, you must register. Voter registration forms are available at any Secretary of State office, online at the Michigan Voter Information Center at Michigan.gov/vote or from your local clerk.

 

  • 3 Council seats and Mayoral seat will be up for election November 4th, 2025. The following people have turned in Petitions and are running for the office listed next to their name. (These are listed in Alphabetical order by last name. Mayor seats first.)

Mayor (2 year Term)

City Commissioner (2 year Term)

  • Nancy Spoula - 112 Bennett Ave
  • Charles Weeden - 517 W Main

At this time their are no Write-in Candidates. If you are interested in being a write-in, please stop in to City Hall. You have until October 24th at 4pm to file a Declaration of Intent with the Clerk.
